I have never really had success using left-handed relievers like Sherrill who are one-sided. What sort of individual settings and bullpen composition does one need to get HAL to use him in the appropriate situations?

You can have success with the Sherrill/Villone/Romero types. Keys are to limit their innings so a pitchers park is your best bet.

I ususally have a good closer/set up combo and a cheap mop up guy. Then set your hard right/hard left guys as avoid opposite/quick hook/max 1-2 innings/not before 6th.

They may only get 10-15 innings but they are usually effective.
