Theme Lg for Vets: My First Team - RULES DECIDED

Recently I was thinking about my first ever TSN_SOM team, back in 2001. I was so excited about this new game and became instantly obsessed. I read every detail of every boxscore. I even crunched my own split and clutch stats (before TSN generated split stats).

I decided, for the fun of it, and having a free credit in my pocket, I would recreate this team in 2005 form to revisit that first team. I'm wondering if other vets would like to try this and we can make it a theme league.

Here's the rough idea:

1. Owners' first team must have been in SOM 2001 or 2002.

2. Autodraft cards must include all the players from that first team that have '05 cards.

3. AD card can be filled in with other players - but you can only choose players added to the game after 2002. That way you won't be getting someone else's original players unless they were yours, too.

4. After the AD, you must keep the players from your original team that you got. All other moves are allowed, within TSN roster rules.

5. Must use original ballpark or park that replaced it, regardless of changes.

This would require a certain amount of trust among the participants:
- that you stay true to your original team for the AD
- that you only add players to your AD card, as per rule #3

My first team in 2001 won the title (back when you got one credit and $25 for the best record in the league regardless of the title)

This sounds interesting, bc. I actually got off to a hot start in 2001 (what's happened to me now?!) Will there be a list of draft eligible players added to the game since 2002 (or the ineligible ones if that is easier)?

Unfortunately, I can't think of any way to generate a list of players added since the 2002 game. What I'm going to do is post links to the player lists for the '01 and '02 games. Then you can check players as you fill in your AD list to see if they were in the '02 game or '01 (in most cases checking '02 will be sufficient, unless you think they could've been in the '01 and not '02).

If someone screws up it will be easy enough to figure out. After everyone's in the league we can all post links to our first teams. You shouldn't end up with any '01/'02 players unless no one else had them.

Comparing 2005 against 2001/2002 works for me, bc.
