This game in a 1969 league followed a game in which Gibson and Palmer had a complete game pitcher's duel which Palmer won. This time, Gibson ended up being the winning pitcher the following game as the final relief pitcher.

What a game to forget! 0-10 and hitting into 4 doubleplays. Manny Sanquillen had a tough time. Hey Gibson stole a base. That was a great game to look over.

Way back in 2001 I had a 25 or 26 inning game. One of my relievers actually came close to throwing a no-hitter in the game, with *+ innings of no hit relief. If I get motivated, I'll try to find it.

The attendance for the game was 40,607. Wonder how many remained to the bitter end?
