A question has come up in my league about these, especially for base stealing and base running.
Does the computer after seeing the selected setting (normal, conservative, etc...) decide to steal/take the extra base after all the adjustments are made or does it make the decision based on your player's base steal/running speed number without looking at the adjustments?
For example, if you have the stealing set to normal and it is assumed the computer will try to do so if you have a 65% chance to make it, will it send the runner if his number is 13 or higher which gives you at least a 65% chance of success?
Or does it adjust for the holding on or not along with the pitcher's hold and catcher' arm, then will steal if the chances are 1-13 or higher (or 65%)?
This leads to the question of should you lower your stealing setting to conservative when going against a stong armed catcher and raise it to aggressive when the cacther has a weak arm?
Or does the computer take into consideration the fact of the strong/weak arm before it decides to steal more or less? If so, you then don't have to change the manager strategies as you will run the same amount of times based on goal (ex-65% for normal) that matches your setting?
Thanks
