I could use some explanation (and tips) about matching teams/hitters/pitchers to ballparks. I see a lot of reference to that and need to make some sense of it.

Thanks.

The biggest factor is the BPHR symbols #. Whenever you see that symbol on a pitcher's card or a hitter's card then you ignore anything after that and only use the BPHR rating for that park. For instance if you see a result of # HR 1-8, fly (cf)B 9-20. You would ignore the 1-8 HR chance and only refer to the BPHR rating for the park you are playing in for L or R depending which side of the plate the hitter is batting from.

Generally if you are in a park with a high BPHR rating, like Citizens Bank Park, then you would want hitters with these symbols and would want to avoid pitchers with those symbols near the center of their cards.

Or to go even a little more into details. In hitter's parks (Parks with BPHR 13 or higher) you want hitters with high BPHR (the maximum is 8, avoid W hitters), and pitcher's with low BPHR (usuallu 0-2 on each side, maybe 3).
In Pitcher's parks(parks with BPHR 7 or lower) you want hitters with good BA, Doubles, and running speed, plus maybe one guy with a lot ( 7 or more) of "natural" (not dependent on BPHR) homers.
You want pitcher's that give up few hits and extra base hits. You can live with BPHR, and some walks. Catcher and outfield arms are more important.
