Guys:

How do live drafts work?

How do I join a league that uses a live draft?

Do I have to start a new league?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Regards,

Steve

Live drafts are either done in this forum (slow) or through Penngray's site which he wrote for this purpose and works very well.

Look for threads like the the No Cap one that marcus wilby started and sign on.

You can not do a live draft through an auto league.

Live drafts do take a time commitment but they are fun to do.

Thanks for the reply stoney. I've only ever done auto-drafts. So, how does it actually work once everyone has picked their players. There must be a way in TSN strato for "set teams" to be put into the system? Is there then a waiver draft, etc? How long does it typically take to do a full 25-round live draft?

Once you do a live draft then you have to enter your team with the typical draft process. You still run through the typical waivers process like an auot-draft.

A draft on the boards takes a pretty long time - couple of weeks.

Penn's site will let you set a clock for making picks and has a very good proxy system where you can line up picks. If everyone set proxies it goes fairly quick.

I just did an 18 round draft in 5 days.
