If a RP 3 pitchers every day in a three game serious, i.e.
(Game 1) 2 innings (Game 2) 2 innings and (Game 3) 2 innings does that mean when he goes into another 3 game series the next day he will be tired like in real baseball? Should I hold him out of the upcoming series because he pitched in every game of the previous series?

How does this work in Strat-o-matic?

Thanks

Chances are that he will be tired for the next game or two, but the computer will realize that and avoid using him if it can. You don't need to do anything.

Generally a RP will not be brought in to pitch a 3rd game in a row. After he pitches in two straight games, he will almost always be held out the next game, with few exceptions: If your closer is needed in a save situation for the 3rd game in a row, and when the game goes extra innings and he's needed for that situation.

Other people more qualified than myself can explain the fatique factor for relievers. I understand it pretty good, but not as in depth as some of the vets here.

Hope that helps.

Thanks

Thanks for the advise. I left him in the closer role for the next three game series and he didn't pitch in the first game and was used in the second during a save opportunity and completed the save.

Thanks again.........
