How can a 4 win a gold glove??? LOL, actually his RF and ZR were bad compared to others...Shawn Green should have won sicne he comitted 0 errors and had a decent ZR, but that aside has anyone ever seen a Gold Glove winner receive a 3 or 4 in the field??? Abreu might be the first or will they make him a very high paid and sought after player next year by making him a 2?

I almost fell over when I saw the Abreau won a Gold Glove. And the very next thought that I had was " I wonder what Hal Richman will give him for range next year?". It would be a travesty to give him a 2. Being from the Philly area, I got tired of watching him jog over to a ball or back off of a play that required a little hustle.

It's made with the same horse crap logic that the Roid/Viagra man won the AL gold glove one year after only "appearing" in 28 games at 1B. It can be a real crock of bantha poodu.

Exactly what I thought too. I would assume that "RF4 Abreu" will be a rf-2 on his 2005 season card; a 1 would be an awfully drastic improvement. I guess his strong arm counted (as well as his offense, which sometimes sways voters).
By the way, I was at the All-Star Game / Homerun Derby in Detroit this year. Abreu was unbelievable in the derby. :D
