Is it true that if you earn a free team or two based on advancing to the finals in a 2007 league that you can only spend that credit on a new 2007 team as opposed to holding onto it for 2008?

I believe that in past years they allowed you transfer 1 credit towards the new 20XX game. If you have other credits you can use them in the 2007 game or claim a credit in any other TSN/SOM game.

But if I have unclaimed credits from winning 2007 leagues, can I wait til 2008, and then claim those as 2008 credits?

That is an excellent question but I doubt it. I bet when you go to claim your free credit that 2008 will not be one of the choices to pick from.

Shoot...I hope not. I'm sitting on 07 and 05 credits, hoping taht the 08 option will be available.

Good question for Bernie!

I believe it's true that your credits will only be linked to the game you won them from, but I have had no problem contacting Bernie and requesting a credit transfer. I moved 4 unused "Back to the 80's" credits (although they were from a 5-pack that I'd purchased) to the current game without any problem whatsoever.

I think all you need to do is post something on the boards to let SOM staff know that you'd like to transfer your credits. I could be wrong, but I'm just letting you know you what's worked for me.

When you win credits, you can apply them to ANY of the current games. That started earlier this year.

I'm only wondering if the 2008 set and ATG4 will be added to the list of games to which you can apply those credits. That only makes sense, but you never know...

Moving question to "Strat questions" section.
