Preparation betwen series'

Postby ANDYCOCHRANE » Sat Nov 05, 2005 6:06 am

Has anyone got any tips for what they do in between games, time permitting of course? I am never sure what to do if I manage to get the chance between series'. What I mean is is there anything I can do preparation wise? I have sometimes looked at the next opponents team and starters and considered changing things around, i.e. baserunnung tactics or stealing etc, but usually just leave well alsone.

What are the best things one can do when one looks at the next opponents to change things around and hopefully gain an advantage. I don't want to always sit there and wait for HAL to do it.

Any contributions greatly received.

Depends on how much time on your hands obviously. If your time is limited, at least take a look at your opponents arms and set your baserunning, as well as catchers + pitchers holds and set stealing accordingly as well.

If you have a bit more time, I'd juggle my starting lineup if necessary, especially if there is a reverse pitcher or two heading into town. One thing you can do, which consists of even a bit more time, is change your individual player's settings, but if you're going to go that far, you probably should make sure you always have extra time, or else you might find yourself with settings unfavorable to both your next opponent as well as your stadium. I'm one who sets the individual settings in the beginning of the season and leave them alone, changing them only if needed come playoff time. Some folks probably do this daily, I find I don't have the time, nor desire to go to this extent. When it becomes too much like work, its no longer fun.

i agree ....i always look at my opponents catchers arm/pitchers holds and the OF arms.......
as far as my lineup or anytihng else.....if soemone is really slumping sometimes ill make a change... or sit them for a series.......there should be a way to change lineups and settings for each game instead of the whole series.........

for the most part i make changes because im bored

Why don't you join the $200 league now forming. Something different to break your monotony and some experienced players who will give you all you can handle. Needs about five more.
