The 2008 set will be here before you know it and the last tour event is under way, so I felt it was safe to unveil the best kept secret in the 2007 set. He's always available post waivers, never taken in live drafts, he saves big time money because he is cheap and can serve as the back-up catcher.
I have had him on six teams (4 on the tour), five of which made the playoffs, none of which have been below .500.
81-81-- 453 AB, 31 HR, 86 RBI, 14 SB
92-70-- 567 AB, 35 HR, 97 RBI, 9 SB
99-63-- 571 AB, 43 HR, 134 RBI, 25 SB
84-78-- 285 AB, 11 HR, 42 RBI, 5 SB (Platooned)
85-77-- 484 AB, 30 HR, 77 RBI, 17 SB
88-74-- 540 AB, 46 HR, 114 RBI, 25 SB
For $2.01 Eli Marrero is an absolute stud.
Any comments or other candidates for stud of the year are welcome!

Pablo Ozuna ($1.74)
You get no defense, but a guy with 35+ hit chances both ways.
58.4 TB's vs LH's
40.4 OB chances vs. RH's. (39.6 vs. LH's)
When the cheap DH guys that I use are gone, I look to Pablo. I've used him 5 times and he hits .300 every time. His OB is .350 or better each time.

Chone Figgens. For $1.19, produces to match his real life offensive stats, can pinch run, DH, has positive clutch, can fill in virtually anywhere on defense, hit anywhere in the lineup, and allows you to use injury prone starters in several positions.

There are indeed a bunch of great bargain players, Harris, Keppinger, Eckstein, were all great for me, but my fav had to be Manny. In th Cel, he was MVP or close every time I had him, which was often.

After the championship league of the tour starts I'll post my favorites but not until then.
