DH vs. Non-DH league Questions

Hello everyone. I've played in 3 2007 DH leagues and have read a lot of posts about them and I think I get the main points/strategies with that type of league. Now I'm thinking of trying a non-dh league for the first time and was just curious what people thought the major differences in stratgies or in constructing teams are. For example, w/ dh teams I've seen a lot sub $1M players used as platoon dhs. I'm assuming in non-dh leagues the values of cards like E. Perez, B. Harris, etc. are diminished. Any other thoughts?

Thanks.

When I play in a no-DH league here's what I do differently:

1 - More platoons. No need to get crazy here, but a couple of good platoons will enable you to have good PH's on the bench.

2 - Less expensive bullpen. Don't have expensive relievers cause they'll get pulled by a PH anyway.

3 - Better gloves on my back-ups. HAL will double-switch some, so you won't want a "4" SS coming in to play late in the game on a double-switch.

That's about it for me. Hope this helps.

I think you should try to maximize offensive production. Since yoo lose the DH, you can't have too many offensive holes. This increases the value of players at positions where good offense is more scarce. Also, it allows you to draft more expensive players. I go for the studs.
