Stolen Base "Metering"

Just curious, have any of you guys noticed stolen bases being "metered" by the game engine like HRs used to be? The reason I ask is that we have Dave Roberts on a team and he was on pace for 80+ steals at the halfway point and ended up with 60. Theriot was on pace for 74 and ended up with 61. F Lopez on pace for 46 and ended up with 36. Anyone else notice something like this or was I just hot in the early going?

I have noticed it on occasion, but I have had the reverse happen also (though that might be a metered effect ) . Regardless, I think they were just hot early on.

No Hal shenanigans on this one. I checked out the top 5 rabbits in 6 of my leagues.
Total SB's for the season for the 30 players - 1786
Total SB's at game 81 - 877 (49.1%)
Total SB's after game 81 - 909 (50.9%)
For every Ramirez (37 halfway, 58 total) or Reyes (48, 78) there was a Crawford (28, 70) or Freel (15, 45).

Joe I tried to respond to your e-mail, I am interested, but your e-mail service is blocking me. Maybe you could try to resolve this so we can communicate. Thanks.

OK, sounds like there's nothing inherently wrong, just bad/good luck. Just was curious after the whole HR debacle of a few years ago.
Doug, I send you an email.
