Hello all. I'm having difficulty evaluating 3 catchers (2007 game):
Martin
Redmond
Laird
All seem pretty equal. I play in Fenway. Other parks in the division are Shea, Camden, and Dodger Stadium.
Any thoughts on these 3 guys? Anybody had great or crappy luck with any of them?
Thanks.

I almost tried Martin and Redmond one time but decided on some cheaper alternatives like Lieberthal.
Of the 3, Redmond would be my pick.

Here is one mans opinion....take it for what it's worth.
Neither Redmond or Laird have graced my roster in 07. Mainly because I could find better value for less or better cards for my park. Rather than take those two I platooned Snyder and Phillips for many a season. Redmond will hit in Fenway but with a back up will cost over 4.3..kinda steep for a singles hitter with no speed an a propensity for the DP.
I used Martin several times before backing away...for me , no matter the stadium, he didn't perform up to his card.
Not sure if that helps but there you go.

I'm in agreement here, the middle pack of C's in this years set just hasn't inspired decent play. I've gone with the expensive (Bard, McCann) or the bottom (Paulino, etc).
The middle ground often just doesn't produce to their price.

Henry Blanco at 2.08 has been a very good lower priced option for me. Great defense and clutch hitting. I've never had him at Fenway but has done very well for me at Turner and AT&T that can be similar parks.
