how's it going guys. Now that I finally have work to a point where I can leave it alone for a few minutes I figured I'd come back a do a team or two (or forty, hehe). Any of my old rivals left? I haven't seen too many names I know on the boards the last few days, so I look forward to making some new friends. Hope to see you in a league soon.

Hey Don!
Glad to hear you're still checking in! Definitely some "old-timers" left. I know qksilver, sandlotshrink, JeepDriver & JoeTheJet are still going strong. :) Hard to believe I can consider myself one of them "oldtimers" - but I guess if you've been playing SOM here for 5 years they give you a free AARP card!
I don't play in many, if any, public leagues - but maybe I'll make an exception for you. :D
Cheers!

Glad to hear alot of the guys are still around. I appreciate the offer to join a public with me, but I don't want my butt kicked that much just yet. I'm always up for a private league as well, just nothing I have to give my full attention to (IE no live drafting, unless it uses the new applet) as I just can't commit that kind of time anymore.
Hopefully I can get my skill up quickly so I can jump in with you guys. Everyone was always fun to play with, and a little trash talk never hurt either.

I just started back into the online game a few of months ago. Have played two teams with this years set. Last played the 2003 season. member name back then was clawkiller. Have mellowed a bit since then thought I should change it up. Hope to play against you in the 2008 season. Good luck to you!

I'm glad to see that you guys are still here, and active. I had a free 80's team left, so I figured I'd try one out to see if it fit in my timeframe (which gladly it does). Right now I have that 80's team going and I just started an 07 team. If I keep it at 2-3 teams at a time life should be good. I'm looking forward to jumping in with the big boys when the 08 season starts.
Peace
Don

Old timers? Pff, whatever! I'm the only one who actually [i:e6da65a8f9]matters[/i:e6da65a8f9] around here anymore! Really, though, I'm not considered an old-timer, but I've played in leagues with a lot of the guys. Great community we've got going here. Welcome back, Don.

There are a lot of us around from the 2001, 2002, 2003 days. One tricky thing is that when TSN changed the message board a few years ago, our board names became our manager log-in names. It makes sense to have each person use one name, but it makes it a little confusing when trying to recognize "old-timers." For example, I was "GlennF" on the old boards, but now I'm "The Biomechanical Man." Many other managers suffered similar identity crises.
