How To Ensure Proper Platoon Substitution?

How To Ensure Proper Platoon Substitution?

Postby GlenBrummer » Mon Feb 25, 2008 2:20 am

I am new to computer stratomatic but experienced in the board game. My team has two platoons and another position shift when those platoon changes take effect.

How do you best ensure that your planned platoon is executed when the other team brings in a reliever? Its complicated in that my substitutions are not necessarily the best defensive players on my bench for that position.

This is for the 2003 season. Thanls

HAL gennerally doesn't make the change until the 8th or 9th inning. There isn't much you can do other than to make the player cards "avoid LH (or RH) pitchers" and "don't PH for" for their strong side.

It makes some sense when you think about it. What if a RP comes in the game in the 5th inning. Do you want HAL to change all your players and then another RP comes in later to shut down those hitters?
