In what situation would one use a reverse RHP, Greg Maddux for instance, versus just getting an LHP like Dontrelle Willis?
Thanks
Steve

2 situations:
1) if the pitcher is really good, like Johan sans '07, then the reverse or not doesn't matter
2) if 2 or more of my division rivals have a couple of sluggers who are particularly vulnerable to that reverse pitcher situation, ie, a righthanded hitter who is best against righties will be vulnerable to a reverse lefty. Then you can spot start or regularly start that pitcher against that specific opponent throughout the year. It seems that in general in online strato reverse lefties are more effective than reverse righty pitchers. A reverse righy will be effective against the likes of Hafner, Ichiro, Dunn, etc.

If there are a lot of switch hitters in your division, the reverse guys neutralize them quite well.
That was my next question
