I've used Escobar on over 1/3 my teams!
I've never gotten less that 400 ab's (not counting the 40+ walks), with a high of 515 ab's (with 63 BB). Make sure you have someone who can absorb 100-200 ab's.

Escobar is well worth the risk. I have also used him on about 1/3 of my teams, and usually get over 400AB, 80+ runs and RBI, .330+ BA.
Cano, I have had about 15%. Holds up decent injury wise. BA always well above .300, but for some reason the RBI are never that great. Consider a platoon with Barfield if possible.

I have Escobar on another team and am doing great.
I am backing him up on this team with Salmon and Langerhans so I think I am good.
Thanks

Not sure about Lanerhans, but consider Denofria(if avail) over Salmon as the L-bal backup.

Cano is worth the money and injury risk. I have used him on at least three teams and he never batted less than .350. But he will miss some games. That is why I like to have a real good back up like Placido Planaco or Graig Biggio who kills LHP(Cano's weakness) I know Biggio is a 4 but his e-rating is low and in two leagues I had him and his slugging and on base percentages were of the charts!
