Is Ryan any good to have as a closer? I ask this as he has only got a C2 rating. I got him in the draft (didn't originallt draft him) and am not sure if I should look for someone else. Anyone have any experience with Ryan as closer??
had him - didn't like it!

He of course is very effective in the right situation.
All things being equal, I'd look elsewhere.

Of course, depends on the park and div makeup.
But like someone said, all things being equal, a possible combo would be ryan set as setup both ways slow hook and then a cheap closer like percival, dotel etc who can set for closer max and as closer both ways.
It would be ineffective use of his cost to list him only as closer, IMO--you'll never get the innings out of him nor will you put him in the most likely situations where he can succeed, for the money you're tying up.
Good Luck!
Ryan

I have him and i'm using him in middle relief. I took the extra lefty because bonds was in my division, but bonds was traded! Ryan is 1-1, 10IP, 3.48ERA and 1.55 WHIP.
