The * part of it has no bearing on his injury. Any pitcher with 200+ IP can only be injured for up to 3 games. All other pitchers can be injured for up to 15 games at a time. For the most part all *SP have over 200 IP but not all.

and in the ATG game that year Ryan was not a *, he was given a * by SOM sort of like a lifetime achievement because he was one of the greatest pitchers ever. Just like Greenburg was given the 1b rating so he would be used.

Are there any more *SP's who don't meet the qualifing innings barrier? or is it a Ryan only rule.
I looked i couldn't find any at first glance

sort by ip. Many SP will get 33-34 starts hence getting the * and end up with 199 or 198 innings and can go down for 15 games.

[b:fe6ddcbd08]ANY[/b:fe6ddcbd08] pitcher can be injured when the DH is up and a roll of 6 then 12 comes up (i.e 6-6-6)
