There would be a HUGE market for Zambrano if you were to offer him up for trade, I would think. For your rotation, I would try to get either Doug Davis or Mark Mulder, as I have had decent success with both in Shea.
You've got the right idea grabbing a .50 starter for the fifth spot, since you won't be using them at all, but I think you should drop Tommy Phelps and get a guy who only starts. That way you don't run much of a risk of HAL bringing in your cheapy starter/reliever in a crucial situation and blowing the game for you. Happened to me before, and it sucks pretty hard.
For the production you're going to get out of the back end of your bullpen, I think you're spending way too much. If you can get Neal Cotts and Danny Graves, do so. They are much cheaper and pretty effective in Shea. Chad Cordero is going to get rocked at home, not sure what the rest of your division looks like.
Your defense is going to cost you a lot of games. Furcal is an SS-2e31, which means that he's got good range but will make about 31 errors over the course of a full season. If you pair that with the fact that your 2B (I presume it's Jimenez) is rated a 3, you're gonna have a bunch of singles and errors getting through your middle infield that will put you in a tough spot.
David Ortiz will flat out rake at Shea, but I think your lineup is too lopsided with so many lefties who hit righties better. You might want to go grab a couple of right handed bats who fair well against lefties, such as Phil Nevin or Robb Quinlan. Even lefties who hit left handed pitching better would help, like Brad Wilkerson or Jeromy Burnitz. Possibly even Eric Chavez.
Hideki Matsui should be okay for you, but I don't know if he will be worth the money you're spending on him. He might be able to grab you a couple of solid pieces for your roster if you trade him before the season. Check out the other teams in the league and see if there is anyone who might be able to use him. I know SBC people would like to have him if they're looking for offense.
Aside from that, I would just recommend that you pay attention to the catcher and the hold ratings of opposing pitchers, because your guys are gonna want to run often. If you're facing a -3 catcher and some good holding pitchers, you might want to slow them down a bit.
I hope this helps at least a little bit.
