Glitch?

In 2007 game, I have Aaron Miles as my starting 2b, and Jeremy Carroll as defensive sub in the managerial settings.
Game 5 - HAL removes Miles in the 7th inning and replaces him at 2B with Cesar Izturis, who doesn't even play 2b. Can anyone explain this?

Was Miles injured in the 7th? A weakness in Hal's logic is that he will replace with a better offensive player at the risk of poorer defense.
With an injury I don't think there's a check on defensive replacements listed in the manager strategy, just who's available on the bench.

Stoney's right. The subs have no bearing on the game being played, just when a new game starts.
I [i:d2eed70f66]am[/i:d2eed70f66] interested, however, in why a player who doesn't qualify at a certain position was subbed for someone who is. A link to that game would be nice.

Note that Izturis entered in the 7th at 2b as a "defensive sub" even though he doesn't play 2b?!??

no - carroll not hurt. hasn't played at all. Even if Carroll were hurt, why bring in Izturis for Miles at 2b?
Plus - it's bad for chemistry in the clubhouse. Carroll is steaming....
