I'm wondering if I did not build it properly for Dodger stadium. I was 50-35 at one time and have fallen apart to 51-48. My guys weren't producing at all and Swisher and IRod kept getting injured so I dropped them and then dropped Alfonzo and Ford to be able to get Rolen. He better have been worth it...so far after one night I don't think so. :( I'm glad this was a free game. :)

So guys...it's too late to do anything now but did I just not build this team right for my stadium? Thanks for your help. Pedro is available but I don't know who to trade for him...probably nobody.

Can someone at least tell me what the hell went wrong here? lol And I mean before I dropped the players...they tanked before I really dropped anyone.

Canuck... probably just your team evening out due to "law of averages".

A couple of ideas/observations though:

1) Your team is/was very RHB dominate... makes it easy to pitch too with in-expensive SP's;

2) Your rotation (after Clemens) is weak... unless pitching to a team similar to yours; :wink:

3) Looks like your down to working with about $67 mil in salary. Very difficult to compete with $80 mil teams. Next time you have quality guys like IRod and Ford, look to trade them before you drop 'em;

4) Your cheap RP's are getting too many innings... with the weakness of your SP's, you probably could've used 2 decent R2's ($3 mil range) instead of 1 expensive stud like Gordon.

Coffeholic, thanks for your observations. Yeah I should have tried to trade them but it seems almost impossible to trade here. I'm happy with how Cotts is doing but Atchison is getting worse.

Oh now I know what you mean. I think your contribution to this thread lacked "contribution" but I won't hold it against you. We all have a grumpy streak. :wink: Try and have fun ok? As it stands right now I agree it'll be tough with the reduced payroll but I think there's still time to make a decent run. How do you match against your division?

Hey Cummings, yeah I dropped Rolen and picked up Alfonzo again and also Perez. This kind of limits the drop in value of my club since I had them to begin with. I was matching up very well against my division until lately. Guess I just went wrong somewhere and it's gonna be hard to fix. I'll have to be creative.

What a nice guy you are canuck apparantly the community now has a now "spokesman." :wink:
