Postby JOELKING » Sat Dec 03, 2005 1:30 pm

hey all, just got a new team, trying my luck in shea, waivers hasn't started yet, and i have the first overall pick, thinking of getting drew, is this wise move move? or should i get rowand insead? any other suggestions would be grateful.

in my division theese are the other parks: Comerica Park, camden yards, and coors, in addition, there are 4 other shea teams in the league. any suggestions would be helpful

thanks

best regards,

happy holidays.

Definitely ask qk for his advice.

Just my opinion;

Needs - at least one more lefty ie, Glavine, Santana, RJ of course
Needs - lefty set up BJ ryan, Mahay, etc.
Needs - Drew would be good, r gload, h matsui,

I like M Giles at 2nd base at Shea as you will face many lefties and he kills lefties.

I like rh lefty killers M Ramierez, Rolen, etc.

I like lh bphr to take advantage of your park.

Hate Tankersly and Weaver in your park. Capuono not that good either. A rotation of Zambrano, Santana, HAren, Robertson would be good.

Just mt thoughts.

I have had good luck with Halama as a lefty Starter.

Catcher platoon of Torrealba and Valantin ghas given me 22 to 28 homers and 60 to 75 RBI's.

Gload is very good. I have had luck with Grissom... but he is a 3 in center field. Eric Valent is an awesome platoon... 8R. or Keery Robinson.... but of course.. no pop.

Jose Hernandez is an awesome Shea person... for me at least 5L.. offsets those lefty pitchers.

Willis and Mulder have been offered before.. but I seem to have no luck at all with Willis.

Just my 2 cents.

Good luck.

thanks guys for the help, however some of the guys you mention are on other shea teams, and i doubt very much they are going to trade them to another shea team. i keep you posted after waivers, still not sure if drew is the man for the first overall pick.

I'd keep Weaver - looking at your opponents lineups he should get a fair amount of starts

Hey Glenn, nice team you've got going! 8)

Whenever I look at successful teams like yours, it makes me wonder why those same players that are performing so well for you, never do nearly so well for me, even though in similar "friendly" environs?

You got HAL on the "payroll" or something?

This league borders on the absurd!

I'm in the same league as Devilrage and it's the most ridiculous thing you've ever seen... 5 Shea's and a Tropicana in the same league.

Here's a look at these teams:

I have trade offer for weaver, its very tempting to do, because it will land me a true leadoff guy, it does make damon expandable. who i hate to used in cf, becuase of his weak arm, where i would prefer using drew there.
