Joe Torre's 1969 card

I posed this question on the 1969 Game board, but didn't get a response. I was curious about using Joe Torre at catcher - 4(0)e1,T-19(pb-5) - rather than his primary 1b position.

Just wondering if the T-19 is a deal-breaker. There's not many offensive catchers in 1969. Does Torre's offensive make up for his throwing errors? He costs $5.8 million, which I don't think he's worth as a (.289 .447 .361), slow-footed 1b.

I used him there also, I would do it in a hitting park. I think it's rather common.

Thanks for the help.
I've only been in the 1969 league twice, and both times torre went undrafted. I'll be using him at Fenway, using him at 1b vs LHP and c vs rhp. There's not very many LHPs in the rotations at the moment (season starts monday), so he'll be at c mostly.
