Boone vs. Belliard, who's better?

Boone vs. Belliard, who's better?

Postby Play By The Rules » Wed Dec 07, 2005 3:07 pm

Let me ask about two scenarios:

1) Neutral park

2) Shea

Just curious about what the vets think, maybe I've been wrong about this one!

Belliard, better, however you want better defence, then go with boone.

That is not an answer.

Who is better, OVERALL, Belliard or Boone?

Belliard is a better option in any park IMO.

LOL

can't let an arguemnt go eh?

anyways I really think the question is too broad. If both were sitting in the Fa list, it would depend on wha tthe rest of my team looks like. Neither one is a high pick for me.

Neutral park, probably Boone, bat him 7th or 8th. Shea Proabably Belliard, unless my lineup was stacked 1-7 then Boone and bat him 8th. this is unless I need another hitter vs lefties with some obp, then Belliard.

Actually it wasn't an argument at all, I stated Boone was better as a broadly accepted fact, and I'm trying to find out if I am wrong.

So far I am surprised at the responses. You learn something every day.

Belliard will hit 40 doubles and have a higher OBP than Boone. I have had excellent results with Belliard.

43 doubles and 18 HRs in Shea

49 doubles and 17 HRs in Miller Park

37 doubles and 12 HRs in Shea (his worst performance for me)

Belliard by far.... had Boonie once and Belliard 3 or 4 times in various stadiums.

Pick up late season .394 in 94 AB 4 HR in minute maid
.293 16HR 98 RBIS in COORS - 646 ABs 17 E's
.259 11HR 69 RBI i Minute Maid - 586 AB 15 E's

Boone I dropped after 43 games 4 HR 10 RBis 27 hits not sure errors in Shea Stadium.

Hope that helps. Thats my opinion after 4 different teams.
