i'm new to the whole strat-o-matic baseball game and wanted to know some people's opinions on who the best starters, releivers, and closers are in the 2007 set.

I'll give you a couple that out-performed for me. Kevin Corriea and Brian Bannister were solid starters and cheap, around 4.5 and 3 mil. Jose Valverde gave me 43 saves and was half the price of the big closers. Chris Schroeder was a great set-up man at the price. Pitching peformance depends on the ballpark and your defense. I have found the high-priced pitchers are not worth the money, over 6 mil, unless you give them a great pitchers park. Just my opinion. Of course like stocks, past performance does not guarantee future results.

it all depends on your ballpark and the majority of parks in the league (mainly on your own park). webb and hudson are good and can pitch anywhere. The other 3 really need a pitchers park to shine. Are you sure there isn't 2 other * sp's out there. that money could probably be used better on the bullpen or hitting typically.

my home field is citizen's bank... how can i figure out who will perform better here? and does the park effect relievers and closers too?

that link won't work, the URL needs to have ?userid=XXXX where XXXX is a number at the end of the URL.

To do this go to statistics -> team -> your team. then copy paste the URL.

CB is a big time hitters park, pitchers with a lot of ballpark homeruns are to be avoided (the # on the left of the column).

ok got it thanks - so on the pitcher's card if they have a lot of HR or homerun results than i should probably look to trade or find someone else on waivers right? any relievers you have in mind or you have personally played with that you would recommend?
