I hate his card every year. I never take him...Then he beats me a few times a year and I keep thinking maybe if I cant avoid it I will take him. Well now I have him post waiver and I just cant believe that he will be any good...Has anyone been happy with him over the course of a full season..
This is the team..

Please feel free to dissect the team as well

For the price i think he is very worth it. I have had him hit his card. He also has great defense and can't get injured which is a plus. Don't expect anything spectacular hitting wise though.

I like him because he NEVER gets hurt and has great defense. I usually bat him 8th or 9th. However he needs a homer ballpark or he does not hit homers....period! He only hit 10 for me in Kauffman! I liked his VALUE(price)much better LAST SOM season(2006 he was 1.99million)He seems to pricey this year. Although you should save some cash not having to have a replacement!

I have used him on my great defensive team experiments, and even then he hits seventh. I did get decent production from him in AT&T though, although he did manage to somehow make 12 errors.

Regarding your team, your IF "D" is a little weak. It would seem there should be a better option than DeRosa at 2B. Casey and Counsel shouldn't be on your team IMO. Only one potential IF 15 gamer and you have Carroll for backup at 2b. Casey just isn't very productive with no speed or power in a moderate+ hitting park.

The team I have him on is a, Kauffman, defensive(seven 1s, and two 2s)team. His OBP% is low, his SLG% is low. He won an outfield gold glove(with 3 games to play). And for an 8th hitter in the lineup he is not bad with his .250 BA,10 HRS,70+ RBI. I believe he is one of the really good ,rare, clutch hitters. He always seems to drive in big runs!
Thanks

I had great luck with his 2006 card. He was only 1.99 million, and he plays 162 games. In one of my 2006 leagues he had something like 117 RBI batting mostly 8th and 9th against RHP, and 7th vs. LHP.
