Howdy,

Am I allowed to set my batting order? HAL has my Mules leading off with a Catcher, while my two best sluggers are hitting at 8th and 9th respectively. Just how DO I set the batting order, If I'm permitted?

Thanks!
Larry

Explore the links on your Front Office page. There are options for lineups and other preferences (per game starters, bunting/hit and run preferences). To set your lineups the link is right above where is says "Front Office - Your Team Name" - it says "lineups".

You'll find people here are generally helpful but you should do a little exploring on your own first.

There's a great thread under the Strategy tab called "Newbie Advice Thread" that you will find incredibly helpful. Best of luck!

Howdy,

Got 'er done! I had to click on the link that said "try the original interface" under the "lineups" tab. Now all I have to do is win 100 more games. ;)

In the 70s game, after you insert a player for each of the positions, you need to click on that position and drag it up or down, whatever is necessary, in order to get your batting order the way you want.

When I did my first 70s team, I did not understand that. I thought HAL was going to arrange the batting order. So, when Games 1-3 were played, the catcher batted first, the first baseman batted second, etc. I ended up getting swept.

You have found how to set your lineup card. Now you will want to adjust managerial settings. Also it is very important to understand that you can click on every players particular card, scroll down, and adjust each player's settings(if you have not found this already). For instance; you can adjust how often each and every player bunts, steals, hits and run, if they need a defensive replacement ect.ect. The same can be done for pitchers. Good luck!!!
