Looking for some insight

Okay I am looking for some insight as to what is going on with my team. I am not necassarily looking to make changes, but to figure out what is going wrong for the next time. Any help would be appreciated.

The team is 50-61 right now but with a +29 run differential. While I know some of this is bad luck I am wondering what else may be going on. There are three other teams in my league with similar records and their run differentials are at -80.

For example the team is 22-16 vsL and 28-45 vsR. I am not sure though why thats so. When I drafted it I did not expect it to perform that differently.

Here are the lineups:

Renteria, E. (R) 1L
Keppinger, J. (R) 2L
Guillen, C. (S) 1L
Kemp, M. (R) 2L
Martinez, V. (S) 2R
Fields, J. (R) 6L
Bradley, M. (S) 1R
Snelling, C. (L) 2L
Jones, C. (S) 3B 7R

Renteria, E. (R) 1L
Keppinger, J. (R) 2L
Guillen, C. (S) 1L
Jones, C. (S) 3B 7R
Martinez, V. (S) 2R
Kemp, M. (R) 2L
Bradley, M. (S) 1R
Anderson, M. (L) 9R
Cabrera, M. (S) 1R

So why is this lineup doing so much better against lefties. I dont have that many L's or any strong L's against righties. Chipper has been underperforming until recently and Milton Bradley has been pretty much a wash out (hurt over 50% of the time and even when playing way underperforming)

The platoon of Josh Fields and and Anderson has worked pretty well over all, Fields does have more power than Anderson by alot so that could be one thing.

I realize the the team is way too injury prone (lol 5 injuries in one game and one was not Milton Bradley - of course i won that game), but even with the injuries I am at a plus run differential.

So is this mostly bad luck or am I missing something fundamental.

I don't know your league's averages, so I can't be sure, but ... there's nothing wrong with your hitting. Your OPS vs. LH is excellent and OPS vs. RH is well above average. I don't think your line-up is the problem. The problem is a) too many errors and not enough range, because you're averaging 0.44 unearned runs per 9 IP; b) Halladay is sucking (this often happens with starters who cost less than 4m); c) the back of your bullpen is weak.

The rule of thumb is "don't make mid-season changes," but if you're looking to change something, you might drop Halladay for a cheap starter (how much worse could it be?) and drop a bad fielder; then pick up a good reliever and a no-hit/all-glove replacement (since your hitting is good enough, so you can afford to lose hitting to pick up fielding).

But mostly the advice would be don't change anything if your expected W/L is a lot better than your actual W/L, because you might be just having bad luck that will even out.

Well you have a bad 1 run game record, which usually means your team will under-perform. Those with good 1 run records usually means an over-performance in their record. 1 run records are tied, IMHO, to luck.

Though it certainly doesn't help that you have 3's up the middle (SS, 2B, CF), where you typically want 2's or better. 3's on the corner's are fine, but you really want that good def up the middle as they will get the most defensive chances. You're giving up extra hits every game, which is probably giving your opponents just enough to beat you.

Also your division mates have beaten up on you. You have the 3rd worst record vs your division in the league.

Not that I am advocating any changes, but if you were to, I would look to solidify that def as well as look to what would help you vs your division, what are their weaknesses.
