Not sure if this is the right forum, but I reread Moneyball this weekend and would recommend to everyone on this board. It not only is an excellent read, it can help improve or reaffirm your strat managing. It is still surprising that many major league managers and GMs don't understand statistical efficiency in running their teams, but that is primarily what we do as strat managers/GMs.

Moneyball really was an outstanding book. I didn't read it when it first came out, just because I assumed it would be dry. Following Beane and his strategy was fascinating and a quick read. I've used the moneyball philosophy and had some success with it, though I think Beane didn't put enough stock in defense. SOM really rewards teams for good "D".

In the beginning on TSN SOM, on base was relatively inexpensive. Now, thanks to Moneyball, it's become much more at a premium, and expensive.

I have been hearing rave reviews. I want to read it soon. There is no question that Strat players understand the numbers behind baseball better than most.
