At least twice this season, my players set at No Steal were thrown out stealing.
How is that?

Twice in one team's season for me, the pitcher Ted Lilly got thrown out stealing -- obviously, someone I can't set to "dont' steal" (or otherwise). The two instances were in different contexts (for example, one had "steal aggressively" and one had "conservative"). Others discussed it in the following thread, which might give some clues. I still don't understand.

I don't see why you are baffled. Even if you check "don't steal", there are events that cause a player to steal regardless of having "don't steal" checked. Obviously, one of these must have occurred. Twice in a season is not worth wasting any thought over.

If this is a big deal to you, check the "don't H&R" box on all your players, or at least on all the players who hit behind slow runners. Then set your H&R strategy to very conservative. An attempted steal (batter misses pitch-pick card for steal results) is a fairly common outcome for ANY H&R and, obviously, it is independent of who is on 1st.
I'm not sure if HAL ever takes into account who is on base when he decides to H&R. I've actually won a game or two when someone stole home as a result of a blown H&R. :p

I'm begining to think there's someting wrong with the Ted Lilly card in the game engine.
*** BOTTOM OF INNING 5 ***
0 E.Renteria 3-6 Double (CF) b-2
0 2 R.Bowen 6-5 Strike Out b-0
1 2 J.Cirillo 3-2 HBP b-1
SUBSTITUTE PR- Wes Helms
J. Cirillo Injured for 2 more games
1 12 T.Lilly 0-0 Pop Out (C) b-0
2 12 J.Gathright 4-8 Double (RF) 2-H 1-o b-3
Can someone explain a 0-0 dice roll? If not, then the two Lilly caught-stealings become more suspect.
