Postby elpasopesos » Mon Oct 27, 2008 4:30 pm

Bernie please a trade was made that I never saw and never authorized. Can you please help me get my players back?

http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/stratomatic/team/team_other.html?user_id=145269

I had M Cabrera, Kazmir, Ford, Biemel and Wickman

I got Beltre Eric Burns Gorzelanny Chulk and Yates

My opponent had dropped Wickman so I dropped Yeates to get him back

Please help me restore my team. El Paso Pesos

What you should do first is ask your opponent if he'd consider trading those players back to you, and explain to him that you never authorized it. 9 of 10 of us I think would offer it back, and assume that you are telling the truth.

Does anyone else have access to your computer or password? Is it possible that you make have accepted the trade in a druken stupor over the weekend? Sounds pretty unusual but I guess there could be a glitch...

One time I accepted a trade by accident pre-waivers that was so lopsided, I actually got questioned by 2 other folks who thought it was collusion. I explained that I hit accept by mistake but he refused to take it back. I chalked it up to his being an arse, as did a few other folks in the league. At the end of the season, I thanked him for his donation towards my credit and moved on. Life is full of twists, sometimes happy ones. :D :D :D

I once accepted a trade that I meant to reject. I was so mad at myself that I did not even ask the guy to trade back.

I believe you! I think you should ask the other fellow involved in the trade,... to trade you back. Tell him you did not authorize it. If you did authorize it by mistake, come clean and ask him to trade back. If you really, really, did not authorize it, even by mistake(and I have no reason to NOT believe you) than you need to find out how this happened.
Is your I.D. and password something obvious? Or does one of your friends have your code? Could an ex-friend be out to get you? I guess that is far fetched, but I have learned that the truth can be stranger than fiction. If I were you, I would get to the bottom of this immediately! Have you asked your trade partner to rescind the trade? Keep us informed! Good luck!

I dont doubt you for a minute, and hopefully the guy will offer you back the players involved. I'm sure there is a way to detect what happened regardless, in case there being a bug. Let's hope this isn't another one of your all-Hispanic team and you ended up with Mike Lowell though! :( :(

I apparently made this trade offer a week ago (I sort of remember... made other moves in the meantime thought I had rescinded it) so yes I screwed up and HAL reigns supreme

This is why I never leave trade offers open, it's super duper easy to forget...

More than likely you offered it, he read it but never answered it, and a week later decided he'd take it. I hate owners that do that. Give a prompt answer, or an e-mail telling when you will make a decision.

It's one of the things that can really take the fun out of the game, IMO.
