Chris Gomez's batting average is higher than his OBP.

Gasp! It's almost as if Gomez has more sacrifice flies than walks... :)

Nice start there. I actually like Gomez for a Pitchers park. Very versatile player for the $. Certainly lack of walks is an issue. :) Huge negative clutch is also an issue for someone who needs to bat low in the order.

I never knew sac flies figured into OBP and not BA. I knew they did not count as an official AB for BA, but I did NOT know they counted as a AB when figuring OBP. Thanks for that tid bit,... even if you informed me in a sarcastic manner. You are clearly the more knowledgeable person!

OBP = (Hits + BB + HBP) / (AB + BB + HBP + SAC)

Just for quick clarification SAC is sacrifice flies only. Sacrifice bunts truly do not count for anything.

He posted a 195/193/215 line

Also I think the Mariners Jose Lopez had a OBP lower than his batting avg for the first month of this year.
