What's more important?

What is more important, a healthy team, or home field advantage? With 12 games to play, I am guaranteed a playoff spot, I currently have the best record, but I have many high risk injury guys. Should I rest players, or make sure I win my division and get the best record(or at least try to)? Here is my team, lots of guys have injury chances:

Thanks for the advice! I always appreciate any advice, especially from a vet like yourself!

Normally, I'd agree with Aray, but looking at your team, I'm not so sure. Shoppach hasn't done that much worse than Mauer, Renteria isn't dominating (Furcal has done well in limited action and has better range), and Victorino could be replaced with Redman in CF and put Diaz to DH. You don't have to rest all the injury prone players, but I think it's definitely worth it to rest Renteria and maybe Mauer, too. Victorino is a toss-up.

I was originally thinking along those lines, hum...what to do? Maybe I will let them play one more series and see if I can clinch a division title. I just do not know. Thanks AeroDave!

That sounds like a plan. With a 5 game lead and 12 games to go, things are still a little uncertain. As long as you don't lose any ground after tonight, I would definitely rest everyone that I mentioned earlier.

First of all, you still can absorb a big injury without missing playoff time. Too early to rest IMO. That being said, I think you should make sure you are in the position you want to be in before resting guys. What will you do if you get swept and lose three games in the standings? You will then start thinking about playing those guys you rested. Also, where will you end up playing if you lose homefield? Is it a big disdadvantage?

I am going to keep playing them until I clinch the division,.....if I clinch the division. Thanks!

I did not clinch the division and home field throughout until the final series. I got by with only one injury(Shane Victorino for 1 game).
