*** BOTTOM OF INNING 9 ***
SUBSTITUTE 3B- Willie Bloomquist
0 J.Burke 2-5 Single (LF) b-1
SUBSTITUTE P - Jose Valverde
0 1 N.Markakis 6-3 Fly Out (LF) 1-3 b-0 fly(LF)x
1 3 A.Miles 2-5 Single (RF) 3-H b-1
1 1 J.Valentin 4-5 Fly Out (RF) b-0
2 1 B.Abreu 3-5 Walk 1-2 b-1
2 12 W.Taveras 1-10 Ground Out (2B) b-0

That fly ball to LF must have been one of those special occurances on the X chart. Fly out to LF but the runner on 1st base tags up and goes to 3B. The LF must have caught the ball and run into the wall and became dazed while the CF had to run over to get the ball back into the infield or something like that.

Exactly - here's the text from the Super Advanced Outfield chart:

The outfielder races back to the wall and makes a diving catch, but ends up colliding with the wall! He holds onto the ball but is dazed. All baserunners tag-up and advance 2 bases before the outfielder recovers enough to throw the ball back into the infield.

I always thought that there should be an injury roll on that play.
