IMO...I'd go:

vs. RH's
Pierre
Kendall (H&R more checked)
Guerrero (Your best hitter)
Lowell
Klesko (+ clutch)
Huff
Winn (+ clutch again)
Clayton
Cora

Winn could also bat 2nd. here, with H&R again checked off. I like Klesko and Winn in the 5 and 7 spots respectively because of the + clutch. The bottom of the lineup is a bit weak, but Cora's OBP could start off a rally.

why hit and run more on Kendall? He hits for a high enough average and is especially strong against righties--so I'd think you'd be lowering his hit total by hitting and running more--the charts are not very favorable toward getting hits (I don't have it in front of me at the moment but it certainly doesn't equate to a .300 hitter)

I don't think you have enough natural XBHs against righties for Petco--a great fit there for cheap is Piedra, Casey, off the top of my head

without seeing the rest of your team and division it's hard to say, but you're lineup doesn't look too bad. I would however trade/release Kendall pick up a better defensive catcher (Schneider) and then use the extra $$$ to improve your'e pitching staff

In Petco, Kendall's a keeper.

His defense is bad?

Have been seeing lots of folks talk about the necessity of catcher defense (in terms of range and errors) but there was a very good analysis by Dean et al that I can't find at the moment, that showed catcher D to be less important than most think, Arm and propensity for throwing errors/passed balls notwithstanding.

Kendall is great at Petco--much more versatile than schneider--a good player but terrible clutch, less of everything than Kendall offensively except double plays ;) ... and schneider becomes your worst hitter.

Now if you have to upgrade pitching I'd look to downgrade Lowell--but hey we all have opinions...but certainly Kendall is a better value than Lowell at Petco...maybe so in any park.

Added Loretta to my lineup. Needed to get some offense in there as I'm last in the league in runs scored. At Petco my pitching is good so I could sacrifice an arm. Thanks for the advice

Loretta's a great Petco addition for the offense--37 natural hits each side--monster at 1 or 2 spot

Would Loretta be better than Castillo in Petco?

Nevermind...I think Castillo looks to be pretty valuable for Petco.
