I've never used him, and I can't really come to terms with his card. So many pluses and minuses.
I have a team starting tonight, and I got stuck with him in the AD. Nobody else that I normally like in CF is available. Can anyone tell me anything good about him from past experience? I just can't stand that arm and the low OBP....

I had him on one team in safeco, did not produce like I had hoped, .289 avg, .329 obp, was suppose to be my leadoff.

Hey big...
I never use him in CF, only as a DH. I must have used him 3 or 4 times, leading off, and he NEVER disappoints.

I have only used him as DH and leading off. I like the fact that my DH my injure the starting pitcher in the 1st inning and make the other team burn out their bullpen plus of course Pierre can't get inured.

How do we tell if our DH could injure the opposing team's pitcher?

triple 6's on the dh roll is the only way a pitcher can get injuried when not batting.
Of course, there is something I do not know about.

I don't know why people don't use him in center, if your thinking the arm rating will "hurt" your chances then you are over emphasizing the importance of the arm rating, arm rating have a VERY SMALL effect in this game, not using him in center solely on his arm rating is silly

That's strange logic IMO. Hitting 1st instead of 9th (I dunno whose DH hits 9th, but let's just grant it) is a difference of maybe 100 or so plate appearances over a 162-game season. The chance per PA that the pitcher will get injured is 1 in 216. So if your DH hits leadoff, you'll injure about .5 more pitchers per year than if he hit 9th; is that really significant? Surely it's more important to put together the lineup that makes the most sense under normal situations. As it turns out, Pierre most likely should hit leadoff anyway because of the nature of his card, so in that sense you're doing the right thing, but it doesn't seem like the right reason to me.
As for Pierre's value, I've had fun seasons with him drafting teams against the computer in the CD-ROM game (.325 with 87 steals in Petco was a good one, though honestly I expected more steals!) I was able to play him in LF there, though. Still, even in CF, he's valuable. It's nice that he can't get hurt and hits lefties well; you literally never have to take him out of a game. I find it hard to play him at DH in a league like this when he's "weak" both ways; there are so many DH options with power. If I had him here, I would play him in CF. I agree that the arm is not a huge thing; it's a disadvantage, but not a dealbreaker.

I'm playing him in CF. 4-2 so far. We'll see!
