it would be cool if we knew what players (pitcher n hitter) who is on the most championship winning teams....that wouls be cool...lol...which card has best value to create a team around perhaPS!?

In my 30 plus leagues I've been in in 07, I haven't noticed which players seem to be on most championship teams, but can give you a couple of players whose teams rarely win. Perhaps its due to inexperienced players who can't find the balance to go with these high priced stars, or maybe the card is just out of whack with the price, but here's my list:

Pitchers: Santana. Rarely performs well enough to justify his price tag. I've seen pitchers 1/3 of his price tag perform better on the same team. He really needs to be in a pitcher's park in a league dominated by pitching parks.

Hitters: ARod. Unlike Santana, I think ARod is a great choice to have on a team. Unfortunately, in most leagues I've been in, he's been the victim of being on a team that the manager couldn't figure out ideal ways to balance a team with this price tag hanging over their heads.

However, in answer to your question, for me anyways, these players have been on most of my playoff bound teams:

Pitchers: Garland (all 3 of my championship teams), Russ Ortiz, Wickman, Hampson, Silva

Hitters: Sizemore, O. Cabrera, Ross, Bautista
