Would team win in Petco?

I'm having trouble putting finishing touches on my team in Petco. I think I don't have enough left handed hitting to win but is my hitting good enough to compensate for the lack of lefty batters?

At this time Loretta is my DH and Burroughs is the backup 3Bman.

-dump perez, get another *starter (lefty)
-not sure who's available or what your div looks like but if it was my team I'd want another lefty bat in the lineup either in right/left or DH. At least as a viable option off the bench

i would dump your 4 and 5 starters and try to get a better number 4 who can go on 3 days rest maybe mulder or maroth should be good in petco also not a big fan of loretta for that kind of dough and using him as dh you could maybe get a bigger bat like abreu or berkman or manny

keeping bonderman is a waste of resources, dump bonderman and milton and go with [b:03e494bc9f]nate robertson[/b:03e494bc9f], he is very respectable in petco
while tom gordon is nice, ryan madson at ~$4 less will do just as well in my opinion
you also need one more good natural HR hitter

Thanks for your advice guys. Abreu, Berkman, and Manny are all taken. I like [b:122d8c83b3]Nate[/b:122d8c83b3] but he got my team killed when I had him before. Milton actually did well for me in Petco. I may keep Loretta but I'm not sure. I'll have to look things over again.

Gordon is nice but a bit of overkill in your park.
also why do you have 2 closers. TSN prices ppl by their R rating and C rating, so you are paying extra for 2 closers, especially since they are both R1's. Is Otsuka there, he was light out for me in Petco twice before.
You offense looks like it is missing the big bat in the middle of the order? Is there anyone left who is really qualified to be you #3 hitter?

I don't know...I just like having Gordon. Have had him in Petco before and got to the finals. I have two closers because each are strong one way I think.
How do you find a number three batter? What should I look for?

Anyone with lots of BPHRs is going to underperform in Petco (particularly guys like Glaus, Jones and Giles). As a general rule, you need to try to get pitchers with lots of BPHRs and hitters with few BPHRs.

Yeah, I know what you're saying...but it's very hard to find guys who would do well in Petco. I think Glaus and Giles, etc. were up there with the best that were available. I think the rest of the parks in my division are all hitters parks so I think they will be useful on the road.
Glaus has two BPHR's on each side but also has those #fly's...don't they sorta cancel the BPHR's out? Also...he has more natural homeruns than any other hitter I've found on the FA list. Pretty much have Jones for defence.
