Owner Record Books

Has TSN ever considered developing a record book of sorts for individual owners that would tally team and individual records amongst an individual owner's various teams/players through the years? I keep my own spreadsheet on this and would see it as a load of fun and a great value addition for TSN to offer as a customer retention tool.

I am probably dreaming, right? Not sure the technology even exists via SOM.

It would be an awesome feature to have in my opinion, but I wouldn't pay for it. 1 team is far too expensive already in my opinion, I'm not about to pay even more money, even if it was once a year, for statistics I could keep myself if I wanted to.

Incidentally, I AGREE on the cost of a team (a joke, yet we still do it) and paying for this service. I think TSN is going to see a drop off in ownership if they don't do something to adjust for economic times.

I think I would rather prefer the all-time records (http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/2005/records.html?category=hitting ) to make a come back. It would need to be without an annual fee, however.

Can you share an example of what types of stats you keep in your spreadsheet? I suppose it could be possible to do this with a script. You can have the script access the teams from this site: http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/stratomatic/your_teams_completed.html

I agree... a break in the pricing or atleast some kind of promotional deal would be nice to see.

To me $25 is a bargain for 8 weeks of entertainment. If TSN can't make a profit we will lose this game at any price.

I have to agree with Randy. If a person wants to have one team going at all times it would cost just $150 per year (6 teams for 2 months each) or $12.50 per month to scratch your Strat-itch. I can't go to a movie and get popcorn for that. I certainly can't play golf for that. Attend a ballgame, bowl, eat out, or much of anything else.

Also remember that Strat had the 5 pack deal a couple months ago. That was a heck of a good deal. Also, they basically return the cost of your team if you make the world series, something I'm not really familiar with, but I know they do it.

This doesn't even count the fun of abusing and being abused by friends made in the TSN/SOM network. If not for this network I would never have learned that LMBomber once dated Cher - yes THAT Cher. They were pretty serious, too, until Randy found out she had been married previously.
