I know there is no official (or otherwise) records for the 2007 cards, but does anyone have any idea of some of the highest team batting averages?
Or any other such records, for instance, lowest team E.R.A?

No idea, unfortunately even the all-time records that are kept are only if someone submits themselves.
I'd add to the requests for suggested changes/improvements to TSN, but I'm sure it's way down on the priority list. Of course, I have zero programming background, but seems like it might be a somewhat easy thing to pull...speaking from a complete lack of knowledge admittedly :(

The short of it is, there are a small pct of teams with .300+ team batting averages and a smaller pct of teams w/ (near) 3.00 ERAs.

This team batted .310 with a .365 OBP. This was a standard 80 million dollar team in a pitcher's park. Who can top this with an 80 million dollar team? Carl Crawford lead the team with a .372 average, and 10 players hit .300 or more, despite me resting the best hitters for the last couple series of the season. Do I have the record?

I get to play you in the semi's! . Actually I am pleased even to make the playoffs. After a long hiatus from strat I have had a nice return with two teams making the playoffs last night. the other in the 05 season. I do hope that you have used up your "good luck" through the year. :)

Ray, I appreciate your support! Luck plays a major role in all Strat games. And it is big of you to pay me such a compliment. Keep on doing what you do,.. player. I hope to see you in a league sometime soon.

I'm sorry I didn't mean to offend you. I was just stating how lucky you were to have your players do that well. I didn't know me stating the obvious would upset you so much. My apologies.

Chance clearly plays a role in this achievement. However, as Strat managers it is our job to place the right players in the right place to succeed, just as LaRussa and company try to do in MLB - that's what makes it so much fun to play. If we succeed then we sometimes get great results like a .310 team batting average. There were plenty of teams in the same league as rmilter that did not have the right players in the right place. They had no chance to see such great results. Sometimes when we make all the right moves we succeed, sometimes we don't. But we definitely increase our odds for success when we do things right. That is what we are seeing here - an excellent result resulting from chance and excellent team planning.
