Just found a site that lists the ballpark HR numbers for the upcoming season. A few surprising changes. Coors drops to a 15, from both sides.
Wrigley's LH hr numbers jump up to 10 to go with a 14 for the righties. Minute Maid is the new Wrigley with a 16 RH, and only 3 from the left.
Ballpark in Texas is the LH haven with a 19.

no real LEFT domintated park this year like SHEA.
Petco even a tougher place to play.

PNC is finally getting the lefty bias that any Pirates' fan will tell you it has always carried.

Good.

Some of these ratings seem to fit the generally accepted perception of these parks, and seem less extreme in some cases. Petco is an extreme pitchers' park, but that is how it plays too.

Q. These Strat BP numbers are affected by the home team pitching correct? I mean, don't they use visiting team offensive numbers for the BP effect chart?

it would be nice if the ratings did not change from year to year and the ball park dimensions could some how be used to create the ball park ratings instead.

As far as I know they are affected by a three year average of all the batters/pitchers that play there.

PNC was slightly lefty it's first year but it's been an even pitchers' park since. It always drove me bonkers that the Pirates never attempted to get LH bats or SP. This year they've really gone radically that way, I'll be interested to see if it actually helps.

Jason Bay only had something like 9 HRs last season in Pittsburgh.

In general it looks to me that the parks are moderating toward the middle. Fewer extremes than in the past few years.
