Season just ended, and of course I get swept in the finals. Losing Bradley for the playoffs really hurt.

[u:2cb8dff1a6]Branyan[/u:2cb8dff1a6]: 41 HR's/ 101 RBI's/ .530 SLG
[u:2cb8dff1a6]Fields[/u:2cb8dff1a6]: 18 HR's/ 45 RBI's/ .500 SLG

59 HR's, 146 RBI's all for [b:2cb8dff1a6]$3.59 mill[/b:2cb8dff1a6].

Russell Branyan is definitely the man. He was the go-to DH for my 2006 US Cellular teams.

Branyan: 37 HR's/ 71 RBI's/ .555 SLG
Gomes: 18 HR's/ 45 RBI's/ .640 SLG

Of course, having Jermaine Dye hitting 58 HR's in the clean-up spot helped too. :)

Russel "THE MUSCLE" Branyan is definitely the man. Nice work putting together such an unlikely platoon. Good luck in the playoffs!

Your looking at Real-life stats.
He's looking at unReal-life (Simulated) stats.

A much more expensive, and not as impressive as visick's team, but not a bad 3B platoon. Blalock&Hannahan 67 doubles / 28 HR's / 113 RBI's

I wouldn't pay for that platoon. You paid nearly $5M for just over 200 ABs of a sub .850 OPS out of Hannahan. Obviously he did very well against lefties, but unless you face a whole lot of lefties, he's not worth it. To properly spend money, the ratio of ABs in a platoon should be equal to the players' salaries. Therefore, since your team faced 75% righties and Blalock is the 3B against righties, then the 3B that faces lefties should be approximately $1.2M (Brandon Inge??). That combo might not be as successful, but that frees up about $3.5M to spend elsewhere.

I noticed this was $200M league, but I think the point is made.

It was a theme league, one from each team. I would have never else had played the platoon! The whole idea of posts like this, is to share stats you dont see every day for others to enjoy or learn from. This is not for or open to pointing out strikeouts, money displacement, or any other negative critiques!
