Mike Fontenot,..the 8 million dollar 2B, could hit 60 to 70 doubles if he stays healthy and gets 600 ABs. He is a doubles MACHINE,his OBP is almost .400, and he has a great glove .

we'll see. thru 6 games which is way 2 early i have 5 teams all in the same park with 5 different 2bs. this was not planned as i normally tend to use the same players. not by design but habit. here goes, hudson 263/340, petro 429/429, font 273/448, phillips 292/280 and iwanura 174/208. petro has 6 doubles already! phillips has 3 2bs, with only 1 so far for font. ba/obp.

There are many quality 2B, but I bet you will see Fontenot put up some big numbers in the leagues he gets picked.

I got him in the autodraft, but eventually turned him in because im in a.t.t. in that league, and couldn't pass up pedroia's defense and 600 p-a. I like fontenot a lot, but that's a hefty price tag for a 15-game injury risk, when pedroia isn't that much more...

2b update. petro is still tearing it up. font is getting on base but with few extra basehits, others are in the tank. seriously considering dropping the defense for offense?

not really but the other 3's cards a weak. phillips is putting up extra base hits but under .300 obp. :twisted:

LOL, I was wondering the same thing. I'm a Red Sox fan and never heard that nickname used for Pedroia, but maybe he's referring to him anyway...? :?
