World Baseball Classic - USA and North America in playoffs

Did you enjoy watching the World Baseball Classic? Do you wonder how the teams would fare competing during a full season?

There is a WBC simulation under way. Players were divided into rosters, based upon their place of birth. (US born players were divided into 13 rosters, of which 7 teams made it into the Strat WBC).

Here it is:

Any thoughts?

One Thought to Senior Wockenfuss who is managing a team that is struggling(though it is early); put that bullpen setting on,"VERY AGGRESSIVE". With your lack of starting pitching and your strong bullpen you want your pen in the game by the 5th or 6th inning EVERY time. At least you have Pujols and Reyes. Good luck!

It is always nice to see an underdog come up.

What about the Dutch team? I guess you did not have nearly enough carded players. But I bet they had some stoned players.

This league looks like a lot of fun,....enjoy it guys!

Team World;
You got to get your boy(and mine) going; Shin Soo Choo. I like your outfield. Ichiro, Fukudome, and Choo. That is a quality OF!

The Numero UnoZ bullpen has been set that way from day one. only one starter is allowed to pitch more than the minimum and he is set on quick hook.

I think my SPs have about 67 IP of my totlal 157 IP.

It seems to me that all the teams in 1st place(right now,...March 18th) have the highest salaries. Most of the teams presently in the cellar are working with a less expensive roster. If any of these teams end up making the playoffs it will be a heck of a managerial job. Either that, or a lot of luck,...or both. Have fun.

Ironically, I picked my team (Tarps) because I thought their strength was with the pitching staff, and the hitting would be middle of the pack. Now I'm second in runs scored, but second to last in ERA.

I thought the depth of my pitching would offset any individuals getting creamed... :?
