Except for the [url=http://forums-beta.sportingnews.com/viewtopic.php?t=526586]2009 Signup Thread[/url], there's been no official announcement yet for the 2009 Tour. The 2008 Championship League just got underway. You can find the latest info (and standings, league links, etc., for 2008) on the forum.

Here's a [url=http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/stratomatic/tournament/playerschamp/2008/]link to the 2008 Tournament Homepage[/url]. It's last year's, standings and leagues are not up-to-date there even for '08, but rules and format most likely will be similar for 2009.

Try it, you'll be hooked in no time.

We will be promoting this officially after we've gotten the prizes approved, worked out some details, and built a landing page for it. Stay tuned...

I know there are still some kinks to be worked out, but I'm sure there are lots of folks who are interested in signing up.

Is there any ballpark idea when the Tour will start? Even an estimate, like for instance, what month? I looked for a potential start date on the Tour thread and did not find any info. Thanks in advance for any help!

The Tour had already started by this time last year. That was too late, too...the championship league (still underway) didn't even get started until after the new cards came out this year.

Don't know what's happened to Tour Commish, Teepack...he hasn't posted since posting the signup thread way back in early March. No mention by Bernie since his post on this thread over a month ago. Not a word in his recent "update" blog. (Unfortunately, he's never been up to speed...even tho TSN co-opted the Tour as a marketing ploy over 3 years ago, standings on Bernie's Tour page have never been current or accurate.)

So, looks like anybody's guess when/if the Tour will start. Keep your fingers crossed.

Since it's obviously starting late (if at all !), the tourney should be simplified, streamlined and shortened, don't you think? Open to all suggestions, but last year's went on too, too long.
