Not sure if many of you remember me - I played pretty frequently from 2005-2007, then we bought a house and between a tough work/school schedule and tightened finances I had to slow it down. I played one team with last year's set, and am hoping to play around with the current set at least over the summer. I just wanted to drop in and flash a "COMING SOON" sign or something, and ask how the new set is playing out. I haven't looked at the cards at all yet, so I was wondering if it's weighted more heavily towards hitting or pitching. Any input you guys can give me before I get started would be much appreciated.

The 'roid era is over. Offense is down, but there is still some offense to be found. Pitching is better than last year.
Still possible to put together different types of teams to be sure.

I have only played a couple of theme leagues this year so can't help you there. But I'm glad to see you're back. You gave me some winning advice on the 2nd team I ever put together. Here's the thread for old times sake:

I had been on nearly a year's hiatus myself, but decided to hookup with the old crew at GBBR...Let me know if you'd be interested in being a replacement player if anyone cannot play in GBBRII 09'... :wink: Robert
