Tanking in a live draft league - what can be done?

Check this out, Manny dropped for Marcus Thames, Ordonez for Floyd?

Of course just two teams were around picking up the free agents and the competitive balance of our league has been destroyed. What can be done? Can this crazy action be reversed?

This is my worst fear(regarding TSN STRAT) realized. I would be mad as hell if I was in your league. Be suspicious, very suspicious of the managers who are benefiting! In fact you should probably post a link to the league, and also post the managers names who are involved in tanking and the guys benefiting from the tanking. I would also immediately send an e-mail to Bernie or someone at TSN. This kind of thing can not be tolerated, or else live draft leagues will disappear! I feel bad for you, but do all you can to not let them get away with it. I have long suspected a very small percentage of TSN Strat GMs illegally buying and running two teams for the purpose of one of their teams being like a farm team, for their other team. Some have said that this is not happening because it does not make financial sense to purchase two teams(under two names) just to win two credits. But with certain cheaters it is not about the money it is about their ego, and creating an unfair advantage so they may win, and boost their egos. Please keep us posted!

The second team manager has offered to undo the pick-ups if the other teams will, so I'll not post his link.

And I am angry, I love playing the game, and I really enjoy live drafts and trading.

I know of a manager who has gutted more than one team in a salary cap league just because he's (in my opinion) a jerk. I don't know if he was trying to see how badly he could do if he tried, or if he was just being a bad sport because his team was doing poorly.

There is a very real chance there is collusion going on in this case, but it's also possible the tanking manager is just being an immature jerk.

Please report this if you haven't already. Managers like this have no place in the TSN SOM world with or without collusion.

Collusion, tanking, having two teams, all of those things are CHEATING, pure and simple. The parties involved do not have to be ,"Evil" to be cheaters. Everyone wants to win. And some people will cross lines to get that done(See Bill Belichek, or Belicheat). You did the right thing to bring this out into the light. Sunshine is the best disinfectant!
