NEW KEEPER LEAGUE

Let's face it, Keeper Leagues are much more fun, and more of a challenge, since you have to know players real (long-term) skills and evaluate prospects, instead of just choosing good cards. So I'm starting the NSKL, Newest Strat Keeper League, and looking for 7 more people. We'll use the state lottery numbers to determine draft order, (lowest number gets first pick,) so when you sign up indicate a state (that's not already listed.)
1- billyv - Mass
2- rzepernick - Ohio
3 - Rick Piergrossi - California
4 - JayW527 - New Jersey

I'm in! I learned my lesson from the tri-state debacle last time and went with Oklahoma (where the wind comes sweepin' down the plain).

I'm interested, but would like to know details, salary cap, how many can you keep, etc.

I am interested. I was just curious if any of the rules were determined? I am assuming we would be using the newest card set??? How big would the rosters be, salary cap size, and DH or not? Thanks in advance! If you are not full by the time I get home from work late tonight I may join, but please do not save me a spot. Good luck, either way.

If we got a little detail on the rules we would be using then I would consider joining.

I should've included more details. I plan to use the same rules that seem to have become standard in the keeper leagues; we'll have a Live Draft of the 2008 cards, (using the SOM draft site) in which each owner will draft a 40-man roster, then a stadium. Each year, teams will cut down to at least 30 players before the Annual Draft. The salary cap, at $200,000, really isn't a factor. Much like your league, thisisray, except I set it up as a non-DH league to make it a little different. Also, while we will have a seperate Prospect draft, I'm thinking about not using a Supplemental draft so that there will be more players available in the Annual draft. I'm open to discussion on that.

I'd prefer to have a DH. I am not a big fan of watching pitchers hit (in real life or in strato), and I'd like more offense.

I'm cool with whatever you'd want for the drafts and the other small changes, though.

i also would prefer a DH.

Let me just see if I have the rules clear. We would draft 40 players on the live draft site. I assume we would take up to 28 of those plaers and make them our team for this year, and could add and drop among thise players only for this year's team. Somewhere before next year, we have to drop 10 players to get down to 30,and then I assume that everyone would draft 10 more players next year. 200 mil salary limit. can we trade??

Sounds interesting, I will have to do some homework for it!
